The Volvo S60 is the third generation of the sporty Swedish mid-range saloon and the first Volvo model to have been produced in the United States, in the coastal city of Charleston, North Carolina, and exported to other global markets.
 
The new S60 is also the first Volvo vehicle to be launched without a single diesel engine option, demonstrating the Swedes’ desire to electrify the engine and their attempts to move towards a future free of conventional combustion engines. The 4.76m saloon comes with a choice of three 2.0L turbo petrol engines - the T4 (190hp), the T5 (250hp) and the T6 (310hp) - but only the latter comes with all-wheel drive. There's also a plug-in hybrid version known as the T8 Twin Engine with 390hp and 4-wheel drive, with an 8-speed automatic transmission coming as standard across all versions.
 
The brand’s current design still combines premium aspirations with reserved Scandinavian style, including the T-shaped LED headlights and daytime running lights that give the S60 the brand’s characteristic look. The 4-door bodywork is rounded off with a nice coupé-style rear end and lights that incorporate the C signature, whilst the interiors are neat, understated and smart.
